About

Most of my studies focus on analytical chemistry by composition analysis, pharmacokinetics and metabolomics. I am professional in mass spectra, high-performance liquid chromatography, biological sample processing and analysis. One of my long term goals is applying analytical chemistry to pharmacology study, particularly in understanding diseases and treatment. The present research focus is thyroid hormones. I also apply the qualitative and quantitative research methodology to the toxicity study on pollutants. One of the aims is to develop highly sensitive and quantitative analytical chemistry techniques to determine concentrations of persistent organic pollutants, PBDEs and PCBs, in various biological and environmental matrices. These studies require the development and modification of extraction and analytical techniques utilizing gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC-MS). All the above experiences provide a solid foundation for the disease and environmental pollutants analysis, which makes me capable of detecting considerable low level target compounds in the sample.
