As the IT Coordinator, Bill is the main point of contact for all IQ IT related matters. His duties include, but are not limited to, desktop support, network administration, server administration, identity & access management, hardware/software procurement, conference room IT support, IT systems onboarding, and IT asset and inventory management. Bill oftentimes acts as a liaison with central MSU IT support.
About
I have been the IT coordinator in the Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering since April 2020. My duties include desktop support, network administration, server administration, hardware/software procurement, identity and access management, conference room IT support, IT systems onboarding, and IT asset and inventory management. I have been at MSU since 2004 and worked in the Department of Plant Biology prior to joining IQ. I am also a member of the MSU IT Research Cyberinfrastructure (RCI) team (formerly Advanced Academic Research Technology) where I run the Smart-Vue freezer monitoring platform and work to enhance and improve service offerings for the research community. I am a CISSP, privacy advocate, tech enthusiast, father who enjoys golfing, exercising, home lab tinkering, DIY, and spending time with my family in my free time. I love IQ and hate COVID-19.
