About
Bana completed her undergraduate work in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and her Master’s degree in Laboratory Research in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University where her worked focused on investigating factors affecting vascular cognitive impairment development in overweight rodent models.
Bana is the lab manager of the Transgenic and Genome Editing Facility (TGEF) and the Stem Cell Core (SCC). Her current work at the TGEF involves performing genome editing validation, construct cloning, genotyping and DNA sequencing. Her current work at the SCC focuses on culturing, maintaining, and expanding existing hiPSCs and hESCs, creating new edited stem cell lines, as well as training new facility users to culture their own cells.
