Yogen Kanthi, MD, Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Michigan

Dr. Yogen Kanthi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He did clinical fellowships in cardiology and vascular medicine at the University of Michigan where he developed an interest in vascular diseases. Dr. Kanthi completed a research fellowship in vascular biology at the University of Michigan. He joined the faculty in 2014 to establish his cross-disciplinary research program and clinical practice focused on vascular diseases. Dr. Kanthi’s translational research laboratory is focused on mechanisms and treatments in venous thrombo-inflammation. His goal is to identify molecules at the intersection of coagulation and inflammation for development of therapeutic targets in venous disease. Dr. Kanthi is a member of the Leadership Committee of the Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, & Vascular Biology Council at the American Heart Association, and has additional leadership roles in the Society for Vascular Medicine.
