About

I have been the Chief of Staff for the Institute of Quantitative Health Science & Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Michigan State University, since June 2017. In this role, I oversee all administrative activities, including research administration, finance, graduate education administration, information technology, events and communications, human resources, and space planning. I started at MSU in 2015 at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and worked as the department manager for two departments in the college.

Prior to my tenure at MSU, I worked for the University of Michigan for about 8 years in both research administration and department manager rolls. I also spent three years of my career working for the Community Action Agency in Jackson, Michigan as a Grants and Contract Administrator, providing financial management for many small and large community outreach and improvement grants funded by federal, state, and local agencies. I am a current board member of my local union, the Administrative Professionals Supervisors Association, and was a previous board member of the Southeastern Dispute Resolutions Services organization. I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2004 from Siena Heights University (formerly, College) where I also was a captain of the volleyball team and earned All-Conference and All-Region honors.

I am blessed with a wonderfully supportive husband and kids, and in my free time, I enjoy taking time to goof off with them, go golfing, ride my Peloton, go wine and bourbon tasting or just hang out with friends.
